I need cheap web hosting for my small business but I want to go with a company that has good service. I’m on a tight budget so it needs to be affordable but also reliable. Any suggestions? I know there are plenty of companies out there but I’d like to know some of you’re experiences with them. Thanks.

After I paid for a domain from godaddy, I found out its web hosting prices were not good for me. I want one that is free. It’s gonna be just a small personal website to publicize myself and no intention of business. There are so many of them out there. What should I look into to decide which one to choose? There are a few subquestions:

Is it a common practise for free hosting site to charge for the domain transfer fee?

Does free webhosting site provide support for the basic designing of my homepage? (I knew nothing about Microsoft Frontpage or Dreamweaver…)

If I dislike it, is it possible for me to switch to other hosting sites without losing any of the content on my page?

I’m looking to build a website with information and reviews about games and other gaming related products, but mainly a user forum. I’m looking for something relatively cheap, but I’m willing to pay a little. Please help.
